Absolutely gorgeous day, temperature was in the mid 70's winds were light and out of the East, and I was on the water.

Just a quick run down Ashville Bridge Creek, trying to get back in the groove, and back in shape.

There were a lot of transient ducks out there, several 50 or so bird flock that I came across. Could not get anywhere near them they would fly away at first sight of the kayak. I did come across a home made party barge of some sort, was not that old, but it was essentially at the whim of the wind. The tree about half way down the creek has almost fallen completely, I guess if it gets leaves this year it will finish falling. The only other thing is that the water seemed funky, really dirty and full of all kinds of plant litter, it seemed like it was dirty.

Trying some stuff with Black and White pictures, so you will see some similar pictures in color and black and white, they are kind of washed out, going to get some filters and try again.

Oh Yeah, the City installed a sign at the launch, describing the American Lotus, and I now know the the American Lotus is the official flower of the city of Virginia Beach.
