What a great day, I committed to myself last week that I would get on the water rain or shine, and I did, and it was raining, at least when I left it was.
I was originally going to go up to Hampton, or there about, because I had something to do up there but that did not happen, so I was left looking ofr a place to kayak. Since I took a little fishing trip on Friday on Broad bay with a friend, I decided I would give the Lynnhaven bay/inlet a try, and I am so glad I did.
I headed up Pleasure House Creek, when I noticed a large bird up in a dead tree,at first because of the lighting I could't tell exactly what it was, but as I got closer I saw that it was a Bald Eagle. I drifted up on it for a while getting closer I heard the call of another Bald Eagle, that was being harassed by a large hawk of some kind (maybe A Broad Winged), at first I thought it may have been last years offspring refusing to fledge, but I was not an eagle... I hung around for a while and enjoyed the Eagles, and to a lot of pictures, way to many to publish here.
It would have been hard for anything else on this trip to top what I saw, and it did't...
