Powhatan Creek Park And Blueway
Powhatan Creek Park and Blueway is part of the Chesapeake Bay Gateways Network, and a very well thought out launch. There is parking for about 20 cars, but no other facilities.
From the parking lot, the launch is about a hundred yards maybe less, down a concrete path, a cart is not really necessary.
The launch itself is a series of 8 wide steps with ramps on both sides, though the ramps are fairly steep, they are easy to walk up and down, but use caution towards the bottom because they can be a little slippery.
The creek is tidal, and there is a lot more flow the further downstream you get, so consult a tide chart and plan your trip accordingly.
